We had the privilege to interview the founder of Favechic, John Wong, to understand more about him and his business.
How did you come up with the name for your company?
We were looking for words to describe best what we do. Fave – where we engage our users to fave (like) and Chic – stylish which we curate together with our bloggers.
How did you get funded initially?
We have been bootstrapping though we have recently secured our grant from Media Development Authority of Singapore.
How many people did you start the company with and how many people work for you now?
We started with 3 of us, each of us have been a serial entrepreneur. Right now, we have grown the numbers to 10.
How many failed startups were you involved in before this?
I would not brand it as failed. Just like any business, every startup goes through cycles of ups and downs. I have been fortunate to build around the businesses I have established before, Internet, Retail, E-commerce and now Social Commerce.
What’s the top 5 Struggles you face as an Entrepreneur?
