Moomee was created to fulfill one of the critical missing niche in the social gaming space, which is Gaming Together with Friends! With Moomee, now anyone can play games together with friends directly from their phone’s address book. Moomee encourages collaborative gaming in its design by weaving elements of social game play to encourage friend-versus-friend interactions. Moomee encourages social interaction through exciting games, bringing friendships to another ‘level-up’!

We are very delighted to hear from Christopher Low, co-founder of Moomee, of his start up journey and motivation that keeps him going.
How did you come up with the name for your company?
Our team spent about three months brainstorming the names. Our criteria for our brand name has to be “gamey”, “fun”, “cool”, “catchy”, “sociable”, “likeable” and “spelling-friendly”. After weeks of brainstorming, we finally decided on Moomee.
How did you get funded initially?
We are backed by US$500,000 worth of seed fund from a Private Equity firm.
How many people did you start the company with and how many people work for you now?
Moomee started with 2 co-founders, and now we have grown to team of 10.
How many failed startups were you involved in before this?
None objectively speaking. So far, all of my ventures have resulted in successful M&A deals or acquisition offers.

My inward nature to challenge convention and to create a product which stands out among all competitors or to create a product in a whitespace market.

What advice do you have for fellow entrepreneurs getting started?
Many a times entrepreneurs are beaten down for their ideas. I would like to encourage them. Take each comments smartly, filter them through logic and apply the valuable points to refine business model. At the end of the day, persevere!
You can fail a hundred times, but just need to be successful once!
